Old Hickory Barbecue Beans  serves 6-8  people

Its no secret what makes these beans so good! A long-time staple in South Arkansas, these beans will be the talk of your next family reunion, Church potluck, holiday get together, or your nightly family meal. For those that go way way way way back (not to show age or anything) this recipe is different from what was served in the Old Hickory restaurant back in the day. However, this recipe is one that is quick (25 minutes) and tastes fantastic!

 Old Hickory Barbecue Spaghetti

Almost by happenstance, one of the best uses we have found for the Old Hickory Regular Barbecue Sauce is as an addition to a normal spaghetti sauce. We know, we know, you are saying "Spaghetti Sauce??? You are crazy!!" But trust us this will spice up any pasta dish. We call it Old Hickory Barbecue Spaghetti.

Directions are simple. Take your favorite pasta that you would normally use traditional tomato-based sauce on, and cut the sauce in half with Old Hickory Regular Barbecue Sauce. Trust us you will not regret it!!! For a different twist, you can use pulled pork or pork sausage instead of ground beef or traditional beef meatballs.

 Big Daddy's Grits

This recipe takes Big Daddy's Hot Water Cornbread and turns it into a delicious grits consistency that is fantastic with seafood or as a breakfast side item!

     1)  Place 5-7 pieces of cornbread in a medium sauce pan (around 12 in. saucepan works well). The number of pieces will determine the thickness of the final product and is open to individual preference.
     2)  Add chicken broth to the saucepan till the broth is even with the edges of the tops of the cornbread. Do not completely cover the cornbread pieces with broth.
     3)  Cover with a lid and simmer on low to medium heat for 20-30 minutes. The cornbread pieces will begin to soak up chicken broth and fall apart, forming a sort of grits-like consistency.

***optional additional steps: Whisk the grits to break up any remaining pieces of cornbread. Serve with shredded cheese for added flavor!

Try it out! We hope you love Old Hickory as much as we do!
